"For several years, my work in visual art has been partly focused on photography, on the modes of representation, its history, its specificities, but also its mechanisms and physical properties. In the 1990s, the series 'Le chasseur d'images (The Image Hunter)' highlighted the idea of the endless collection, of this thirst to photograph everything, to appropriate through it the world around us. By using the motif of the leaf in a multitude of variations (images of leaves developed on photographic paper, thus making reference to one of the very first photographs), rather than a collection of everyday images, it also highlighted the flatness of the photographic medium and its limits in reproducing reality." -Roberto Pellegrinuzzi
